In just a week, the entire world will witness one of the greatest epic event to ever happen. Wondering what I am talking about? I am talking about, of course, ‘Avengers: Infinity War’, one of the most anticipated movies of 2018!
The journey started in 2008, when Marvel Studios, in collaboration with Disney, released ‘Iron Man’, with no expectations as to how it is going to perform. But its performance blew their expectations and ten years later, we are at a crossover event of the year! But why is it such a big deal.
- It involves more than 50 superheroes. 50. Superheroes! With many A-list actors and actresses in the movie, the hype is really high!
- It is a Marvel production, which is known for not killing its main characters. But the directors, the Russo brothers, have teased that there will be a lot of unexpected deaths and twists in the movie!
- It is a culmination of 10 years of hard work and patience, and a start of something new!
- It is a prequel to Avengers 4, which comes out next year!
The movie introduces the audience to Thanos, the big baddie who was teased in the first Avengers movie in 2012, and since then, fans have been clamouring for Thanos’ arrival! With the aim of destroying half of the universe, Thanos starts collecting the infinity stones, to accomplish his goals. But it is up to the Avengers to stop Thanos and prevent catastrophic events! With actors such as Robert Downey Jr., Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Holland, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pratt, Chadwick Boseman, Scarlett Johansson, Josh Brolin, Paul Rudd, Mark Ruffalo, and many more, the movie is expected to shatter all box office records and cement itself as one of the highest grossing movies of all time!
Following the blockbuster success of Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War is expected to be a greater success! Almost everything Marvel Studios has done till now has been leading up to this. Many questions remain unanswered! Will we finally see Hawkeye? Will Thanos succeed in his plan? And will the Avengers stop him from destroying half of the universe? Well, we can only wait and see what happens! Here’s to 27th April!
