As we celebrate the spirit of womanhood, we also celebrate the struggles and obstacles that makes her the human form of Goddess on earth. Moreover, women today have the opportunity to explore different fields coming from different walks of life. Whether, its about sports, journalism or social media. Social media has become a great way to voice our opinions and the youth of the country leave no stone unturned in doing that. It includes several platforms, like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Youtube etc.
Today, I want to talk about women who are marking their presence in Youtube that is taking place rapidly. Youtube is a platform that can make anyone a celebrity without any godfather. According to me women are storming the internet by being their best. Every 10 out of 50 people in the world are Youtubers, which includes woman as well. And when it comes to talk about the female Youtuber, the only one person comes in my mind, i.e., ‘Superwoman’ A.K.A Lilly Singh. She is the most highest paid female Youtuber all around the world. Her videos are dope. She is a bawse. She’s a true inspiration for me. She has 13 million subscribers on Youtube and has more than 2 billion views on her videos, and she has done that all by herself. She has also launched her book known as, “HOW TO BE A BAWSE”, and subsequently this book became the highest gross selling book, that took Lilly in the Forbes top 20 list of highest paid female Youtubers in 2017. If you haven’t seen her video yet, then dude! Where have you been?
The second in list is someone who has being storming the internet massively, Liza Koshy. A 21 years old girl started Youtubing in 2015. Koshy basically makes comedy videos and posts one video in a week. She recently won a TEEN CHOICE AWARDS, and has 11.2 million subscribers on Youtube. She is also funny to the core.
When we talk about Youtube female stars, we cannot miss out on the next girlee, she is my lady love, Karlee Steel. Yes, in comparison to Lilly and Liza she has comparatively less subscribers on Youtube, around 1+ million subscribers, but she is a talented, outspoken and a honest Youtuber. Her channel consist of several genre of videos, which includes make up tutorial, vlogs, reactions and many more. She has a separate channel too with her boyfriend known as “Karlee and Conner”. She came into limelight due to her channel, “Karlee and Conner”, where Conner ( his boyfriend) and Karlee use to prank on each other. The thing that charmed me about Karlee is that she is outspoken, honest and a very fascinating girl. She has undergone a surgery, and she isn’t ashamed of telling that, yeah! she has undergone a surgery. I love everything about her. She is the best female Youtuber I have come across ever.
I happen to live in India, so it would be unfair to end my article without highlighting my favorite Indian female Youtubers, and they are none other than Mithila Palkar and Komal Pandey.
Mithila Palkar came into limelight, by a cup song which she uploaded on youtube and which went viral enormously. She is also known for her character in web series; “LITTLE THINGS”. Mithila Palkar, has gained the popularity very rapidly, and took the internet into storm, because of which she started cinema in 2014, and worked in several Bollywood and Marathi films in opposition to big celebrities.
Another one is, Komal Pandey. She is a Youtuber who is gaining popularity continuously day by day. She started her Youtube career with a channel named, POPXO, due to which she came into limelight through her adorable acting in some of their vids and through her style statement too. In that videos she would tell some DIYs and make up techniques, but in 2017, she left POPXO, and opened her own channel known as “KOMAL PANDEY”. Apart from vlogging she is a blogger also. In 2016, Sonam Kapoor mentioned her in “BEST DIWALI LOOKS OF 2016”. According me to, she’ll too storm the internet in future.
So, these are some of my favorite female Youtubers, though the list still continues, but I have summoned up the best ones according to me.Women empowerment on social media, is a positive sign that women are stepping out of the box and being recognized for their talent everywhere. On this women’s day, I would like to tell every one that; “PEOPLE SHOULD BELIEVE IN EQUITY NOT EQUALITY”, if people start treating gender on the basis on equity, there would be no sign of discrimination among Human Beings.
